Sleep Sonnet

January 1st 2007 22:55
Your value cannot be measured in bucks
But those with lots of money often shun
You since there is so much work to be done
Gotta get the funds to buy that new tux
Or get yourself one of them new Ford trucks
But those who decide to try to drive one
Without enough of you are in a ton
Of trouble - more so than lame sitting ducks

Oh to dream! Of what, I don't really care
As long as it helps me rejuvenate
And to avoid a catatonic state
With an apparent chronic spatial stare

If last night's sleep had lasted for more time
I might've thought of a better last rhyme

How apropos! Hardly anyone starts the new year with a full night's sleep.

I like the line, Your value can not be measured in bucks. So true, yet so easily forgotten.

Good to see you're as sleep deprived as the rest of us!
