Secret Sonnet (What's It About?) #1

I don't actually say what this is about in any part of the post, and it's up to you to figure out who or what the sonnet describes. It shouldn't be too hard, but maybe I just think so because I knew the answer before I started writing.
Your bottom contains a giant blank space
You didn't exist back in Shakespeare's time
You've frequently been involved in a crime
Your transgressions never brought you disgrace
Your errors are rarely hard to erase
You'd be of use to a truly mute mime
Pushing you all over can make a dime
But only your left side can make a face
Compared to you a small coffee is tall
You are near something that sounds like a pest
I've been told that your performance is best
When human eyes hardly see you at all
If I drank more wine, I'd propose a toast
To you that I need for each sonnet post
