Hypothetical Break-Up Sonnet #1 (Amoebic Love)
October 11th 2006 03:21
This is my first post to this new domain blog. It's a sonnet that I wrote today. The question of how much of it, if any, is based on my actual experiences is up to the reader (hopefully readers) to decide.
Amoebic is how your love is defined -
Small and tending to mess with my head
You make me sick and want to stay in bed
When you’re not around. Have I lost my mind?
Seems that way. And my sight. You made me blind
To the fact I should hate the lies I’ve been fed
And that there are others to date instead -
Young women who are actually kind
You took so much more than you’ve given back
Mostly you gave me a pain in my soul
The disappointment has taken its toll
I need you now like teeth and gums need plaque
I can’t tell you in person since I’m sure
I’d change my mind if I saw you once more
